Life at Trilitech | Efe Kucuk, Product Manager - Gaming

Welcome to another edition of our Life at Trilitech series. This week, we're thrilled to spotlight Efe Kucuk, Product Manager within our Gaming team. 

Efe's career began in gaming and esports before co-founding the largest game studio incubator in Europe. After achieving notable success, he joined a Web3 game studio in Denmark as Head of Business Development, drawn by the potential of decentralised gaming.

Let's chat with Efe.

What does your role as a product manager in gaming entail?

My role revolves around supporting priority partners on Tezos. I provide coaching and mentoring in game design, product management, and go-to-market strategies. Another part of my role is overseeing the product management of Tezos Unity SDK, connecting our partners to the broader ecosystem.

Tell us about a current project you're working on.

I'm currently working on multiple casual PVP mobile games that are yet to be released. They incorporate blockchain technology on popular game mechanics with a twist. The aim is to unlock further adoption.

Where's gaming on Tezos heading?

We're seeing more and more games joining the Tezos ecosystem across various genres, including mobile and PC. The variety is impressive, and we're increasing our partnerships to successfully publish them. We're working closely with multiple partners and internal/external teams to acquire users to drive success for games on Tezos.

Have you had any standout moments since joining?

Absolutely! The Coin Blast project was a key milestone. Tezos blockchain activity quadrupled in two weeks and the player numbers increased by 20x. I also had an exciting opportunity to collaborate internally on mini AI games. We’ve rapidly built three internal games and gained over 20,000 organic users.

What was your journey into Web3?

I was drawn to the potential of decentralisation in gaming. The opportunity to explore permissionless, open-source games was really exciting. Also, virtual economies have always fascinated me!

How would you describe the company culture?

What's next on your radar for the coming months?

I'm really looking forward to the exciting game launches and drops, especially BattleRise and MetaPals!
